Lend support to lock-keepers
The lock houses debate may have come to a standstill but campaigners are not using that as an excuse to let the protest rest.

Save Our Service (SOS) supporters, who have fought tirelessly for the Environment Agency (EA) to overturn its decision, will be at the Henley Royal Regatta on Saturday 5 July at Hobbs of Henley, petitioning for names, selling raffle tickets to raise campaign funds and generally drumming up support for lock-keepers.

The EA announced last week that plans to sell and let out 22 lock houses along the Thames have been put on hold for at least six months but SOS refuses to give up its fight "until the EA announce that these plans have been dropped".

The petition currently has 2,562 signatures and the final petition will be handed into Parliament on July 15.
